It was an honour meeting them and hosting them.

Unfortunately Datuk Junaidi could not join as he had to go to Bali for other functions.

A short story about why we read the Qur'an when we do not understand Arabic

Here's a story that i found on a website relating to Islam.
thought i'd like to share it with all my Muslim brothers and sisters.

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, “Grandpa! I try to read the Quran just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur’an do?”

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water. The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, “You’ll have to move a little faster next time,” and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.
The old man said, “I don’t want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You’re just aganot trying hard enough,” and he went out the door to watch the boy try in.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, “See Grandpa, it’s useless!”
“So you think it is useless?” The old man said, “Look at the basket.”

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out. Son, that’s what happens when you read the Qur’an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives.”

Gaza

As we all know there have been a weird event recently in the International Waters near Gaza.

"Sabtu, 05/06/2010 – Menurut aktivis yang berkata pada Khamis lepas, sebuah kapal Ireland dijangka akan berlabuh di Gaza pada hujung minggu ini. Mereka telah memohon bantuan PBB untuk memastikan keselamatan pelayaran mereka selepas rejim Zionis menghentikan satu konvoi kapal bantuan dalam pertempuran yang mengorbankan beberapa orang awam baru-baru ini.

Kapal, yang diberi nama MV Rachel Corrie akan membawa 15 orang penumpang termasuk seorang pemenang anugeral Nobel dan seorang bekas pegawai tertinggi PBB. Kapal itu sekarang ini berada kira-kira 250 batu (400 km) dari tempat di mana 6 buah kapal bantuan Gaza diserang tentera rejim Zionis sehingga mengorbankan 9 orang awam.

“Kami ingin menekankan di sini bahawa matlamat kami bukannya untuk membuat provokasi tetapi hanya untuk menghantar kargo-kargo bantuan ke Gaza,” kata bekas Penolong Setiausaha Agung PBB, Denis Halliday. Kenyataan beliau disiarkan oleh Kempen Ireland untuk Pembebasan Palestin (IPSC).

“Kami menyeru PBB untuk memeriksa kargo bantuan kami dan mengiringi kami ke Gaza, serta menghantar seorang perwakilan dari PBB untuk bersama-sama belayar dengan kami sebelum memasuki zon pengecualian,” katanya lagi."

i believe this is truly an act of provocation from Israeli militants. there is much proof right there. how is it possible that a normal delivery to give support to Palestinians could be mistaken for an attack? and isn't there laws for freedom to sail on International Waters? all we could do is hope and pray for all the Palestinians in Gaza so that there could be peace at least for them.

-kecurian laptop, hset n brg2 brharga lainnya (kecualu motor n kereta)..bantuan utk kes ini boleh mencapai sehingga 10% dr harga barang yang hilang.
...-rawat inap (sakit sehingga perlu dimasukkan ke dalam wad)..bantuan utk kes ini boleh mencapai sehingga rp 700k..
-kematian ahli keluarga yang mmerlukan ahli pulang segera ke malaysia..bantuan ini trgantung atas budi bicara YDP pusat..

*priority utk sumbangan ini adalah kepada ahli yang pernah mnyumbang kpd biro kebajikan pkpmi pusat..
bantuan maksimum yang akan diberikan kebajikan pusat kpd ahli adalah sehingga rp1juta..

*bantuan ini belum termasuk bantuan daripada biro kebajikan pkpmi cawangan..
bantuan dari biro kebajikan cawangan trgantug atas budi bicara YDP pkpmi cawangan trsebut..
diharap peluang seperti ini dapat digunakan sepenuhnya supaya beban yang mungkin akan kita hadapi esok dapat dikurangkan..insyallah..

Program Tarbiatun Nafs 3#

Insyallah..pada hari Jumaat,4 Jun 2010,program Program Tarbiatun Nafs dan Solat hajat utuk Gaza
akan diadakan pada jam 6 mlm,dirumah saudara Mohd Haikm sekeluarga
beralamat di jln kedung Tarukan Baru 4 no 41,Majlis akan dimulakan
dengan solat isyak berjemaah dan solat hajat serta PTN seperti
biasa..Insyallah juga PTN mingg...u ini ak...n
dihadiri tetamu jemputan khas iaitu saudara YDP pkpmi pusat dan juga
pelajar2 muslim Thailand....Para ahli dijemput datang beramai2 dan
tepat waktu dan membawa sejadah sendiri,ahli Muslimah membawa peralatan
solat yg diperlukan,Bersama2lah kt hadir untuk mendoakan saudara2
Muslim kita yg berada didalam kesusahan di Palestin..TQ
